Refreshing Melon Margaritas

On a hot summer evening, these melon-based cocktails feature the truly honest sweetness of cantaloupe mixed with the fresh, lively taste of mint and basil. Serve cold over ice with or without a salted rim or as a spritzer with sparkling water and ice.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe cantaloupe, peeled, de-seeded and cut into chunks
  • 8 mint sprigs
  • 10-12 basil leaves
  • Juice and pulp from 2 limes
  • 4 oz white tequila
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Blend together in Vitamix or other high-speed blender.
  2. Serve immediately over ice with a mint sprig.
