On a hot summer evening, these melon-based cocktails feature the truly honest sweetness of cantaloupe mixed with the fresh, lively taste of mint and basil. Serve cold over ice with or without a salted rim or as a spritzer with sparkling water and ice.
- 1 ripe cantaloupe, peeled, de-seeded and cut into chunks
- 8 mint sprigs
- 10-12 basil leaves
- Juice and pulp from 2 limes
- 4 oz white tequila
- 1/4 cup cold water
- Blend together in Vitamix or other high-speed blender.
- Serve immediately over ice with a mint sprig.
