Green Goddess Smoothie

Unlike a green juice, a green smoothie retains the fiber that helps fill you up and may also help you reduce cholesterol, stabilize blood sugar and reduce the risk of some types of cancer. This smoothie is a fiber-lover’s dream with leafy green spinach, chia seeds, avocado and celery! This smoothie is also a great way to support stress and manage anxiety as it is high in magnesium, potassium, Vitamin C and B vitamins essential for stress resiliency!

Serves: 1-2

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled, chopped into big chunks

  • 2 celery stalks, chopped into big chunks

  • 1/2 avocado, peeled

  • 1 lemon, peeled (or unpeeled if your blender can handle it)

  • 1 tablespoon chia seed

  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed

  • 1 scoop collagen powder (I like this one) - alternately, use a high-quality pea protein

  • 1 teaspoon Himalayan sea salt

  • Optional: add 1/2 teaspoon dulse flakes

  • 1-2 cups pure water and ice

Instructions

Blend and add water and ice to taste. Enjoy!
