Like so many women, I was living the “new normal” as a full-time, commuting marketing executive with two small children – frenzied, stressed out and exhausted. I often gobbled down whatever I could find at work, ate from the kids’ plates, called walking 3 blocks from the train “exercise” and rarely got more than 6 hours of sleep. My wellbeing was a complete afterthought.

Then I began experiencing anxiety and depression that turned into major panic attacks so frequent and intense that I found myself avoiding work and social activities “just in case”. My hair was filling the shower drain, my teenage acne and PMS returned and I started having serious digestive issues that forced me to start dodging even more events - I mean what if I urgently needed a bathroom? This went on for way too long. After an episode that left me in the ER severely dehydrated and exhausted but with no discernible diagnosis, I vowed that I would focus on getting my sh*t together on my own terms. I just had to get my life back and I just knew there had to be a better way!

My first major “ah-ha” moment came from learning how my gut dysfunction and my stress and anxiety were completely connected… really one system behaving badly! When the brain isn't functioning well, the digestive system begins to falter and vice-versa. In order to heal myself I would have to focus on both!  Another O-M-G moment came when I discovered how multiple food sensitivities and a leaky gut were ruining my ability to absorb nutrients. And all of this was making my hormones go completely out of whack. It wasn’t just about eating better and getting more sleep, but these were foundational places to start. I had to really rebuild my health from the ground up by making myself a priority and setting some actual boundaries. I began to fall in love with foods that truly nourished me, breaking up with my bad boyfriends like those jumbo-size cups of coffee and wine, diving deeper into yoga, breathing and meditation and saying “no” to what in my life was not serving me. And on this journey, a new world of health and conscious living opened up for me…and for my family and everyone and everything I cared about.

If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.

Today, I am a woman going through menopause and I have a whole new set of health choices available to me. I’ve seen first hand the lack of resources, connection and know-how available to women in midlife. Menopause is actually SUCH an exciting time for women to unleash their creativity and refocus on self-care to feel even better than they did in their birthing years. I have never felt more energized, balanced and confident than I do in my fifties. But it can also be a time of health crises like insulin resistance, accelerated brain aging, heart health issues, gut disruption and estrogen-related disorders such as insomnia and intense anxiety. I am excited to walk with women through this stage in their life to help them develop the mindset, nourishing strategies and lifestyle to truly THRIVE!

My goal is to empower other women to face their own digestive and hormone burdens that are often a result of merely living in this fast-paced world with a patriarchal, unequal healthcare system and not making self-care a priority. With small, achievable changes made over time, we can all experience more gratitude and self-love that let you support those you love and strive for your own dreams. It’s a darn tall order – and there will always be bumps in the road - but it's also delicious, eye-opening, incredibly rewarding and most-of-all authentically your own. And I’m on the journey with you.

I'm here to guide you on your journey to truly nourish your own body, mind and soul and reclaim the life you deserve.

Let’s go be amazing… and perfectly imperfect!
