Pumpkin Maca Tahini Dip

This incredible combination of anti-oxidant rich pumpkin with savory tahini and seasonal fall spices like ginger and cinnamon is a perfect accompaniment to any fall gathering. Maca gives this dip a slightly-nutty hint and helps support energy and hormone balance.

Serve with a beautiful assortment of vegetables and crackers for a dairy-free appetizer board or use as a wrap spread with matchstick veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin (can used canned, organic)

  • 1/2 cup tahini (sesame butter)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon maca powder (can leave out if desired)

  • Juice from 2 lemons

  • 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1 tsp ground turmeric

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (or to taste)

  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

Blend together in a food processor. Add water or olive oil to thin if desired. Serve with cut-up veggies, crackers, plantain chips, pretzels or spread on a wrap.
