Citrus Mocktail with Mint

Always festive, this bright, spring-y mocktail lets you forgo the alcohol but not the fun!

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit

  • 1 lime

  • 5-6 mint sprigs, washed

  • 1 tsp coconut sugar (optional)

  • Sparkling water to taste

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker (or mason jar), place 4 mint sprigs. Muddle with (or without) coconut sugar by gentling pressing with a muddler or a wooden spoon. You don’t want to smash into a pulp here, just think about trying to release the essential oils from the herb.

  2. Cut grapefruit and lime in half and squeeze juices into the shaker saving a slice of lime aside for garnish.

  3. Shake it up(!) and pour into a cocktail glass with ice. Add sparkling water to taste. Serve with lime slice and unmuddled mint sprigs.
