Marshmallow Ginger Root Cold Brew

Marshmallow is most typically used to support and soothe the gastric mucosa and can additionally be used for mild respiratory symptoms, including cough. Ginger aids in alleviating pain and loosening up phlegm in the lungs because it is a natural expectorant that breaks down and removes mucus.

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients into a pint size mason jar. Pour cold filtered water over the herbs and fill to the top.

  2. Place in the fridge for a minimum of 3 hours. I like to make before bed and allow it to steep over night.

  3. Strain the herbs (with something like this) and add to compost, and drink the tea cold or add a drop of raw honey for a soothing morning elixir or as a base for your favorite herbal tea.

  4. Enjoy 1-2 cups per day. Store up to 48 hours in the fridge.
